Seasonal name change?

Bit of an odd question, but I don't even know where to start in researching: do people do these just for the hell of it? Or is there a judging thing going on? If so, by which date does one have to name-change and post?

You can do a seasonal name change whenever it tickles your fancy really, but as Maryz says, MNHQ do run a little competition at Halloween, Easter and Christmas to help people get into the swing of things. We'll start a thread and sticky it here so you'll see it

In fact, the Halloween name change is just around the corner, so get thinking!
