Archive Searches - why can't I get a result?

Don't know why, but I don't seem to have the knack of searching the archives. Have a vague recollection that there was a problem that tech was dealing with in the longterm.

Is the archive search functioning properly - or is the problem mine? Anyone else having trouble? I'm fine with posts from the "last month", btw. Is there a secret technique?

Never really seem to have problems. Pretty sure Tech fixed the glitches.

How about an example of what you are trying to find?

earlybird - I've had the same problems - even when searching for stuff I know is there I'm coming up with 0 results. Still works on "username" search though/
