Mumsnet promoting kids tshirts with GUNs on them?!

Just followed an ad banner from aibu titled Mumsnet Kids Tees which took me to www.printedbyrobots.com/nsearch?keywords=kid%27s&utm_source=MUM_EP_PBR_CP&utm_medium=BN&utm_content=MP&utm_campaign=MN%20Kids%20Banners

Just wondering if mumsnet realise thus page has kids t-shirts called Badger Cull with bashers toting handguns...the joke being the badgers are going on a killing spree.

Doesn't really seem appropriate advertiser or product for kids?

Badgers, not bashers!

My dd2 has a print of the panda version of this in her bedroom. I don't consider it a problem. Quite like Banksy.

HeySoulSister · 18/09/2014 16:59

Love the banksy ones too!

And the mumsnet t shirts

mrsruffallo · 18/09/2014 17:00

I don't have a problem with it AT ALL

mymummademelistentoshitmusic · 18/09/2014 17:06

Thanks OP. Some of those have just solved my Christmas pressie woes.

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 18/09/2014 17:06

I notice you scrolled right past the BIG SHARP SWORDS on the top row...

mymummademelistentoshitmusic · 18/09/2014 17:08

And the taunting monkey.

Discobugsacha · 18/09/2014 17:08

Oh they're nice, thanks for link!

ShatnersBassoon · 18/09/2014 17:09

T-shirts don't kill people, rappers do.

Stop looking at the internet. It will terrify you if you are horrified by this.

HeySoulSister · 18/09/2014 17:14

Lol... Not the reaction The op wanted

mrsruffallo · 18/09/2014 17:16

You're right, it's terrible this is much better.

RowanMumsnet · 18/09/2014 17:27

Sorry you don't like them OP, but it seems (from this unscientific sample so far) that broadly our users are OK with them so we'll leave it for now. But other opinions always welcome, of course!

TortoiseUpATreeAgain · 18/09/2014 17:55

I will add (as OP is probably feeling put-upon) that I'm not wild about the gun-themed shirts myself -- I wouldn't put my own children in them, for example. But I don't think they are outside the pale or utterly inappropriate for MN to be linking to. They are a lot lot lot lot lot LOT better than any number of alternatives.

arrrghhhhwaiting · 18/09/2014 19:37

Not horrified, just mumsnet is a pretty strong brand, and it didn't sit within it.

OP posts:
HeySoulSister · 18/09/2014 20:19

That's just your opinion op....

Fenton · 19/09/2014 09:41

I'm more offended by this one tbh.

Mumsnet promoting kids tshirts with GUNs on them?!
OwlCapone · 19/09/2014 09:46

So, there is one picture of a Banksy (although it wasn't actually banksy waS it?) style gun toting badger...?

Vitalstatistix · 19/09/2014 09:54

The dinosaur one really tickled me. I think I'm going to get a couple for presents for the kids. And my niece will love the schrodingers cat one Grin

Fenton · 19/09/2014 09:54

And there's a shark with a machine gun,

and Mona Lisa with a bazooka

there's probably a deep message in there somewhere.

Fenton · 19/09/2014 09:56

I like the dino one too, DS would love it.

PinkSquash · 19/09/2014 10:02

I love the philosoraptor, the badger cull one is cool, but I wouldn't put my DC in it. I would wear it though.

OwlCapone · 19/09/2014 10:33

I think the "vegetarians don't eat their friends" one is in bad taste. I eat meat but I still manage not to chomp into my friends on a night out.

Mammuzzamia · 19/09/2014 10:39

Yup, Lil' love bunny is more offensive.

I see they're promoting pirates, and swords, on another tee, which you neglected to mention too.

Mammuzzamia · 19/09/2014 10:41

Just spotted some of the Mumsnet t shirts.

Who the jeff would buy one of those DD, DS, DSD T shirts? Shock Horrible they are.

FarelyKnuts · 19/09/2014 10:48

Vegetarians don't eat their friends is hilarious. I want one for me
