We need a debate section!

So with all the indyref stuff going on it really brought out all the debaters our there, and for the most part it's been a really good thing to watch/join in on.

So if enough people want it, how about a debate section?

Hello! Sorry this went unanswered for so long.

We've had a look and - apart from thinking that almost every topic on MN is a topic where a debate can take place, really - we do have some specific topics where this sort of thing would fit well: Politics, In the News, and Philosophy, Religion and Spirituality, for starters. So we don't think there's really a need for it - unless lots of people disagree?
