Oh is that what it is? It's irritating.

PetulaGordino · 11/09/2014 03:56

It's on the desktop site on my iphone but not the mobile site, and not on the desktop on my laptop because of my ad blocker I think

I can remember it happening before - it wasn't MNHQ's fault iirc

WaffleWiffle · 11/09/2014 05:06

I really don't like this. I have had one of these links come up in my posts. It looks like I have created that link and am suggesting people buy whatever it was at the end of an amazon link.

It's the suggestion it is from the poster rather than advertising that I hate most.

Def do not like this.

mathanxiety · 11/09/2014 05:08

Same sentiment here WaffleWiffle.

zoemaguire · 11/09/2014 05:20

Surely mn would have a death wish to have done this on purpose?! It's totally beyond the pail.

differentnameforthis · 11/09/2014 05:35

This happened ages ago, nothing to do with MN iirc.

It is your internet browser, google how to get rid of them. I think it was an add on doing it last time.

scaevola · 11/09/2014 06:01

It's affecting a number of posters and there's also comment on thus thread in chat

It would be handy if you could bother Tech (as soon as morning Brew has ensured full alertness) if something has naughtily hijacked something in MN (thus hitting plural users at the same time) or if it is coincidence that it's sprung up like this.

regularbutpanickingabit · 11/09/2014 07:29

This is driving me crazy and has never been an issue before for me. THe one that made me laugh is the one about the Christmas grotto at Harrods. It is just one massive ad for Harrods!

SugarPlumTree · 11/09/2014 07:32

I've just seen a horrendously inappropriate one here the poor poster is saying today would have been her friend's big birthday and it has turned it into a link o a flaming pink bracelet on Amazon.

MrsLettuce · 11/09/2014 07:50

I wondered if this was happening yesterday in a tread about Asda.
