Embedding Videos

I'm sure I've seen some embedded videos in posts - where you can see the thumbnail and play the video without going to YouTube or wherever. I can't figure out how to do it though. Can anyone help?

Hopefully this will work - I just opened the video on you tube and copied the link, then pasted it into the message box.
