I came to say that if there were a Royal Family topic, no-one would use it if they could possibly find a way to slip it into AIBU "for traffic". And the fact that there is such a topic sort of proves my point.

It is used by royalist types and has threads in. But perhaps there should be a Republican topic too?

Attempts to get people to use the topic usually fail. Which I think is a pity.
