just wondering if I've been duped.

I got a PM at the end of july from 'nataliamumsnet' saying I had been runner up in the OITNB competition (which i think i entered just by posting on the thread) and to reply with my name and address in order for the prize to be posted. I responded but haven't received any prize so I PMd the same person today asking when I should expect it but haven't had a reply. I'm now wondering if it wasn't a HQer at all and someone gathering people's names and addresses for dodgy reasons?

I've had exactly the same. Nataliamumsnet pmed me saying I was a runner up in potty training story competition and asking for my address to send books to. This was back in Julyand I also pmed her today to ask when I would receive books. Hope it was real

Having done a search on the name, all her posts are in the book giveaway/book club sections.

Maybe send an email to [email protected] - could she have gone away or something like that?

MNHQ usually PM people if they've won a competition but they also send an e-mail.

I am almost certain MNHQ use the email addresses we provide when register to correspond with us.

I had an email and a pm from nataliamumsnet but no sign of prize and no response to pm (I suppose she might just not be working today!)

She doesn't seem to have posted since 11th August.

I had an e-mail and a PM. I sent my details by e-mail and then replied by PM to let them know I'd sent the details. There was a deadline to reply by and I didn't want to miss the prize.

The prize arrived a couple of weeks later so it was genuine.

if you look on winners corner MNHQ will also put your name on there, might help to verify things.

I definitely didn't get an email because I remember thinking it odd at the time that I'd had a PM rather than an email, so I checked for email and definitely didn't have one so assumed as it was for a competition that they just PMed. I will email HQ at contact us. thanks again. hope it's just a delay of some sort.

Hey all, we've just spotted this thread. There was indeed a nataliamumsnet working for us but sadly she's left now. I'm really sorry there's some outstanding prizes and it's really helpful that you've posted about these in this thread and get back to all prize winners later today via pm. We will be chasing missing prizes. Anyone else who hasn't received a prize, please do post here.
