How do you name change

I wanted to post on a thread related to something personal and I don't know how to use alternative name. Thanks

My mumsnet (top rightish)>My account> User name> Change the user name that comes up> go down a bit and enter your password> Save.

You can check that it's worked by going to the posting box on the thread you want to post on and seeing if/that your new name is shown to the right of where it says 'Nickname:'.

Oh - and don't forget to change back.

*Save Changes.

PPS - and don't come back on this thread in your new name saying 'Hey, it worked.' (Sort of defeats the purpose.)
