I have a question, but it's not about a specific thread

[email protected]

RebeccaMumsnet · 25/08/2014 09:49

That's the one PPaka

Thanks Eve

Is that an email address or a username ?

Is there a talk username I can send a message too ?

It's an email address. I don't think you can PM MNHQ staff (could be wrong though). I suppose you could try the msg poster option on Rebeccas msg above.

cozietoesie · 25/08/2014 11:05

You can PM them but I think that the [email protected] is the better option because it will be forwarded directly to the right person to deal with something rather than a staffer who you happen to notice on the board. (Who might also be away/on leave or something by the time you email.) They respond pretty quickly to a message on that general email.

ilovesooty · 26/08/2014 04:19

Really? I sent an email to them several weeks ago and after an immediate automated response got no reply at all. Pretty disappointed particularly as someone from MNHQ suggested I send the email in the first place.

cozietoesie · 26/08/2014 10:16

You were unlucky, then, sooty. That's not my experience at all.

PPaka · 26/08/2014 11:20

I got an automated response, then a proper v helpful response a bit later, I wasn't expecting anything on a bank holiday!

I'm glad to hear others have had better experiences. I expressed a concern on a thread and a MNHQ member of staff suggested I email them. I sent a detailed email and heard absolutely nothing. My email questioned a particular decision and I'm afraid I now have the impression that MNHQ don't want to engage with anything challenging their decisions. I rather wish I hadn't wasted my time.

cozietoesie · 26/08/2014 12:34

I'd re-contact them if you still have the details/email content because Homer may have nodded there. (You might not like the answer you receive but I'm sure you'll get one.)

Hi ilovesooty,

Sorry to hear this, I will take a look now and see what happened.

ilovesooty · 26/08/2014 13:01

Thanks Rebecca
It would be good to know what happened here.

RebeccaMumsnet · 26/08/2014 13:05

We've just mailed you sooty, can you let me know if you've received it please?

ilovesooty · 26/08/2014 16:50

Thanks Rebecca. Yes, I did receive your email. Amy's original reply never reached me though. I'm wondering if it ended up in my spam folder which I can't check at the moment.
Thanks for looking into it for me, and I'm glad to see that a reply was sent. Thanks
