Photos on desktop site

Are now opening in a new page, so that I have to then click back to go back to the thread. And of course it takes me to the top of the page, not the bit I was reading.

Is anyone else having this problem? In the past they opened in a pop-up over the page,and disappeared when I clicked off the picture. It was much better!

I guess it's all to do with the new FIDDLING

I'm on a desktop iMac/Firefox.

That happened to me on firefox on windows 7, this morning.

My purple posts and bookmarking facility also temporarily disappeared, this afternoon.

I think Tech is trying to spook us.

I noticed that too when I got sidetracked looking at pictures of MNers kittens.

I'll flag it up so I can look at kittens more easily.
