I don't like the new ad that tricks you.

I've been on mumsnett a long time and the ads have never bothered me. However, tonight I thought I had a message and mumsnett had changed the top bit of the page. So I clicked on the new message thing and it was an ad posing as part of a mumsnett type thing.
Surely ads should not be posing as part of the normal bit of mumsnet?

Image capture the add and send it to [email protected] so they can block it. If you know which site the ad goes through to, that info would also help.

Ads are often generated by Google so is to an extent based on your browsing history. This means you will probably see the ad again on other sites and may see it again on mumsnet.

Some ads have a small triangle thing in the top right corner, if you see that, click it and let Google know that you dislike the ad.

I hate ads like that as well. Worse ones are on sites where you are downloading something and they look like the download button.

Hullo all,

Cindy34 - you're bang on. If you see the ad again hercules, send us a screen shot (or post it up here) and we'll take a closer look.
