Pages

I'm using an old (1st gen) iPad which cannot be updated with the newer iOS, and I use Safari not the app.

Longer threads keep crashing Safari. I think that if I use pages then it helps (it did last time) but
a) I hate pages,
b) it's a pain to always have to go to My Account etc to switch to pages and then go back there after I've caught up/posted, to switch back to not pages.

I am a spoilt brat and want everything to be perfect FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I wonder if it's possible to have a 'Switch this Thread to 100/500/All posts' button on the page somewhere?

You haven't thought of the most obvious solution - use it as an excuse to treat yourself to a new iPad .

Tempting! Actually I have thought of that, but sadly it's not possible. I may have to research alternative OSs, though I like Apple, and think it's good to have as many different OSs in the family as poss (my phone is Android, dh's desktop is Microsoft, etc etc) - it keeps me on my toes and my brain ticking over.

I suppose your response means that there's nowt to be done. I'll never read the end of Rowan's AIBU thread

No. I thought it would as it had helped once some time ago, but it has made no difference this time.

No matter. If I use the big machine I can post pics too, so if I really need to get back on a difficult thread then I'll use that. Until I get my new iPad, of course in my dreams
