Online Site Survey Pop Up?

Is this legit?

When I clicked on Active Convos, this popped up on the screen.

It's on of those annoying little ones that follows you down the page when you scroll Angry

I use pop up blockers and don't get any from anywhere else.

Hmm. I'm not sure but I make enquiries (ask someone more competent) and get back to you. What browser are you using?

WorraLiberty · 15/07/2014 22:21

Thank you Grin

I'm using Google Chrome

It did disappear when I clicked the X on the top right hand corner of the ad, but they don't normally pop up on the screen so I was a bit surprised.

I think this is coming from DoubleClick.

doubleclickadvertisers.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/brand-measurement-research-using.html

MNHQ - Perhaps have a chat with your DoubleClick/Google account manager... maybe they can disable such surveys, though do ask how doing that would affect ads that are shown.

Vizu is part of Nielsen (a market research company that works with DoubleClick/Google) DoubleClick: Investing in better measurement for Brands
What I think this means to end users is that on occasion, DoubleClick/Google will display a survey to find out if a visitor to a certain site has ever seen a certain product advertised.

For end users, the Vizu Privacy policy provides more information.
It also has at the bottom of it and Opt-Out button, which will save a cookie to your system.
" As long as this opt-out cookie remains on your computer, you will no longer be tracked or surveyed by Nielsen Online Brand Effect about ad campaigns that you may view. "

I complained about this last week, Worra : www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/2129404-Weird-pop-up-site-survey-whilst-youre-on-a-thread - to no avail!

This week, I've seen them popping up in the 'Ad Choices spaces'.
