Topic hiding?

Please can someone tell me how to hide a topic?
I can't handle Christmas threads yet.

Scroll right down to the bottom of this page and click on the tiny link. Could be easier but it's doable.

Go to Customise, scroll down right to the bottom and follow the instructions about ignoring topics in active.

I hid AIBU about 3 weeks ago and it's brilliant.

Now I will no longer have to resist the urge to go and post the date on each thread in that topic .

I would like to hide AIBU too, but I'm too scared of missing out on all of the good shit

I thought that Thursday. but I have no idea what I am missing. I have forgotten about AIBU altogether. I have more of MN hidden than not.
