Surely posting TRIGGER is pre-emptively setting off triggers though? Like when someone says "don't look" and you look and it's a squished hedgehog. They should say "don't look it's a squished hedgehog" and my brain wouldn't go "WE MUST LOOOOOOOOKK".

I had to remove a disembowelled hedgehog from the lawn yesterday. There were intestines where intestines are not supposed to be.

Can we all post a list of our potential triggers and then MNHQ can edit thread titles accordingly? It seems the only fair way to make MN a nice place for people to post in.

Any thread with the words hun, hubby, hunni, lil man or the like in, unless followed by a disclaimer.
Any thread on TOWIE or similar reality TV shows.

I have nothing to add but I am launching a one-woman campaign to get Mumsnet a 'head tit' emoticon.

TRIGGER is typically for a post about sexual abuse if some kind. I haven't seen it being used on anything else.
