Is there no way to temporarily zap a thread about a controversial subject if lots of people have reported it as goady. Like when mods can hide posts at night until MNHQ get to them?

At the moment its taking 2 or 3 days for threads to be zapped and meantime people get really upset, I.e. by the troll threads about rape and disabled toilets. Someone was crying because of the disabled toilets thread.

Hard to believe people are so desperate for attention or a laugh as to troll about these subjects but surely zapping the threads quicker is in everyone's interests.

The Nightwatch thread is a good idea. Maybe that will be quicker. Had not seen that

Hi Fanjo,

Sorry for the delay in answering reports. It's no excuse but it's been a seriously busy few days at HQ. Things seem to be back on an even keel now so hopefully things should be dealt with much quicker again.

We do try to deal with more troublesome threads as a priority so we'd continue to say the best thing to do is report any that you come across.
