Can we have a 'flip ALL threads' option please?

I still can't get used to reading from the bottom up so if we had this as an option it would make me that litle bit happier!

you can flip 'this' thread but it's a pain, and no, I've never been good at flipping.

someone, i think jackieno, had a good tip. if you want to get to the bottom of a long thread, instead of scrolling down just press the end key.

lucy5 · 08/09/2006 16:09

Ahh, now I get you. Sorry must learn to read more slowly missed the ALL.

AvaLou · 08/09/2006 16:14

It's not just the scrolling down, I just find it hard to read upwards, rather than what my brain is clearly used to doing, so I end up rereading posts I've already read when reading a long thread.

I agree - it makes more logical sense to 'flip' the threads - you don't read a book from the back page to the front do you??? It also means when you've finished reading the posts you're already at the bottom ready to "add a message" - without having even more things to click.

NotAnOtter · 08/09/2006 16:26

i agree

Tawny75 · 11/09/2006 09:24

Another yes please from me too

Ladies

You'll have to learn a new skill. Threads are always newest first !

Come on. You have all conquered using the Internet, now get to grips with the way in which conversations work in this brave new world!

another vote for a flip all thingy

Furball · 12/09/2006 02:11

I prefer reading from the bottom up - then if you are following a thread you don't have to scroll all the way down to read the last few posts.

JustineMumsnet · 14/09/2006 22:56

Hello,
Sorry we didn't get back on this earlier - will discuss with his Techliness and see what he says.

SherlockLGJ · 14/09/2006 23:03

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

On a long thread, I just want to pop read the last few posts and go.

What in the name of all that is good and Holy is difficult about, click here to flip this thread.

LGJ wanders off, shaking her head in disbelief.

pipsqueak · 14/09/2006 23:25

brimfull · 14/09/2006 23:29

If I want to get to the bottom of a thread, I just "click to add a message" and scroll up a bit.

Agree with LGJ - often I only want to read the last few posts then the OP before I post because then I know whether or not I'm repeating what's already been said (often I don't care if I do that, but that's another issue ).
