Is there any particular reason why the Mumsnet map leaves Shetland out?

After all, it has 10 times the population of the Scilly Isles and they're there. (That would be that irritating little black dot that I keep thinking is screen debris and trying to clean off. Wink)

The Channel Islands aren't on the map either. Perhaps including all the more geographically distant islands would make the map tiny, if the map was to scale?

But I imagine, in MN Local, Shetland is included in Highlands & Islands? And the Channel Islands have their own Local listing too.

Which map are you talking about please cozie? Link would be fab.

We do have a local site for the Highlands that includes the Shetland it's here

Ah ha! I see.

Feel free to add stuff to the Highlands site for Shetland, in fact, that would be excellent Thanks

Local is like the rest of MN, it relies on folks to interact to fill it up.

As for the map, that won't be around for much longer as we are creating some new local internal ads but point taken and duly noted.

Thanks cozie Grin

local.mumsnet.com/Talk/highlands-islands/local-active - I can see two threads on this list that relate to Shetland.
