I keep getting a security warning flashing up when on mumsnet on my phone.
No other websites are affected. It is a black box which says the name on the security cirtificate Is different from on the site.
Can you advise please.

I've been getting this on my HTC android for a few weeks now too.

SmellsOfBiscuits · 24/06/2014 21:06

Is there any update on this yet, please? I'm having all kinds of trouble on my android tablet. I'm not using the app - I'm using the desktop site. It's just MN that's causing my browser to crash - frequently. I get the ocasional security warning on my android phone but at least the browser doesn't crash on that.

PrueDent · 27/06/2014 13:11

Mine is like plumchittering

Samsung galaxy android phone on the mobile site.

Same warning as she has screen shot.

Am fairly sure date and time are correct, it sets automatically, but I'll double check.

AnyaKnowIt · 27/06/2014 15:34

Yep still having problems here

Rooners · 27/06/2014 17:31

I'm getting a pop up telling me my software is out of date. IE and windows 7, 8 , 13, whatever the latest one is...

I can believe it as I know you don't like IE Smile but managed to get rid and back to the page I was on.

kimlo · 30/06/2014 20:48

Me too, Samsung galaxy s4 and Samsung galaxy tab 3.

it is annoying.

Eyelet · 30/06/2014 20:48

Samsung S3 on android for me.

PITA

Sarahplane · 30/06/2014 20:53

I'm still getting this problem too. Time and date are correct. I'm on a Samsung galaxy s3 mobile.

KateSMumsnet · 02/07/2014 10:45

Hullo folks,

Sorry that this is still a problem for you. We've looked into it, and it seems to be a problem with an ad, rather than with the site. We'll keep on it though and try and sort it out. Thanks for your patience Flowers

loopylou6 · 02/07/2014 14:26

I'm getting this too, also using android. So are we safe or not? Confused

ColetteTech · 03/07/2014 14:32

Hi all,

Can you let me know if this is still happening? It shouldn't be.

nc666 · 03/07/2014 21:44

Still happening. Getting the same as in the screen-grabs I posted before. (Except that my visit stats have gone up to 72,870 - I don't know whether to be embarrassed or proud about that!)

However, I run Adblocker on Firefox. So I fired up IE, which I don't have any blocks or filters on, and when I clicked on "Log In" I got this:

Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?
This webpage contains content that will not be delivered using a secure HTTPS connection, which could compromise the security of the entire webpage.

Clicking on "yes" removed the advert at the top of the screen, and the logo and "host" at the bottom of screen were shown as broken links. Clicking on "no" showed the logo and the advert and a clickable link to DSC.

I don't know that much about webpages and the like, but is it possible that it's the thingy (css?) that delivers the MN and DSC links where the problem is?

nc666 · 03/07/2014 21:53

I don't know if this additional info is of any use, but when I clicked on My Account to change my Nickname back to my usual posting one, the same warning symbol appeared in the address bar.

SmellsOfBiscuits · 03/07/2014 23:24

Still crashing the browser on my android tablet.

I really hope it gets fixed soon. I have noticed that it'll be ok for 10 mins or so, then crash a few times in quick succession and then I give up. Sometimes this happens without a security warning and sometimes there is one.

Eyelet · 04/07/2014 10:12

Still happening although it hasn't for two days.

AnyaKnowIt · 04/07/2014 14:49

amyMumsnet · 04/07/2014 17:18

Gah, sorry, we'll try to get to the bottom of it!

kimlo · 05/07/2014 22:07

It seemed to stop, but its back today.

lazydog · 13/07/2014 08:44

Still happening. Galaxy S3 here on Android 4.4.2 and Dolphin browser. Using the mobile site, not the app., as the app is crap and misses great big chunks out of the middle of longer threads... But maybe that should be a separate post? Grin

tumbletumble · 13/07/2014 08:46

Still happening to me. I have an Android and use the mobile site.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 17/07/2014 00:18

Particularly bad on my tablet tonight. Have had to be very persistant to post this. There's a pattern to it. First time it flicks off to home screen, when I tap the internet icon again, it asks me if I want to go to the previoulsy browsed screen. I say ok and it takes me back to mn. The second time it flicks to home page, when I click the internet icon it takes me straight to BBC which is my internet home page. It's been a consistent pattern for ages.

It's been an aboslute bugger tonight but hasn't gone off while I've been typing this post and - frequency wise - I expected it to.

Hope it's better when I'm in hospital tomorrw. I'm counting on mn as a distraction from scarey thoughts

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 17/07/2014 00:20

I hadn't got half way down reading my post after I posted it, before it flicked off again, Grr, So why's it ok whilst I'm typing?

Weirdy.
