please could you consider making it easier to get back to mobile site from the desktop site?

Irriatingly frequently when I'm using mumsnet mobile it accidentally switches to the desktop site. It then takes so long for the full site to load and to be able to scroll to the bottom to find the little link to the mobile site that I am about ready to throw my phone at the wall or register with netmums

Any chance you could make it easier to switch back to the mobile site (a link near the top of the page perhaps)?

Thanks for flagging that issue. The desktop site taking ages to load is probably a result of the mobile internet connection rather than the site (speaking as a recent 4G convert). Are you connected to WiFi as this might speed things up a bit.

We do see where you're coming from about the link to the mobile site being hidden at the bottom of the page, and if enough people think it's an issue we'd be happy to consider moving it.

Yes, connected to wifi but its still v slow to load all the way to the bottom

Also even on Wifi the tiny, tiny font mobile site link is very hard to spot and impossible to click on without zooming in.
Please put a big button near the top.

I have this problem too. When it switches to desktop the bottom of the page takes aaaaages to load (top bit much quicker). When try to zoom in and click om 'mobile site' sometimes click on something else by mistake and have to start all over again.

We have had threads before when people have asked for help because they couldn't find the mobile site link hidden in minute obscurity at the bottom of the page.

I was thinking this yesterday when I accidentaly clicked on the massive desktop button at the top of the mobile site and then had to wait ages for the page to load before I could click on the teeny weeny mobile site button.

I miss the app

I'm forever accidentally clicking the desktop button. It took me ages to find the teeny button to return to mobile site at the bottom of the page.

The return to mobile site used to be a button and now it's just writing squeezed in that is hard to click!

Thanks rowanmumsnet , glad I started the thread it has been bugging me for ages. As others have said it is the combination of being far too easy to accidentally click on 'desktop site' and far too hard to get back to the mobile site that is rather annoying

I've had this issue too! Well not so much the time to load the desktop site, mostly just taking forever to remember where the mobile site "button" on the desktop is, then find it, then successfully press it without loading up something different (fat fingers - hence hitting the desktop button so often!)

Anything that makes it easier to return to the mobile site would be great.
