Gaming Topic?

yourlittlesecret · 15/05/2014 16:20

The thread on Hay Day has been very popular. Who knew how many of us wasted so much time on were interested in games. It's in chat though so I wondered whether you had thought of a games topic?

Yes please!

JonSnowKnowsNothing · 21/05/2014 21:00

Yes please! Pretty sure my love of retro adventure PC games won't be shared by many other MNers but it'd be nice to have a gaming topic all the same!

Minecraft section

RowanMumsnet · 22/05/2014 11:41

Thanks for these - any ideas for a ninja title?

FourForksAche · 22/05/2014 11:46

just one more level - I love that.
It's what DC have been saying to me for years and I have only just realised what it's like. I have become addicted to Hayday because of Mumsnet.

Just let

I thought I had posted on this thread already, but apparently I haven't….? ConfusedHmmShockBlush

KatoPotato · 23/05/2014 12:15

Viva! I burst out laughing, I had completely forgotten about that clip!! Leeeeeerooooooyyy Jenkinns!!

TerrariaMum · 23/05/2014 12:20

Corus, Grin. I like 'Just One More Level' too. Whatever we call it, we do need a games topic.

VivaLeBeaver · 23/05/2014 12:25

The Leroy Jenkins video is one of the funniest things on YouTube. Sadly I think its how people in my dungeon party probably view me as I never have a clue what I'm doing and am often getting shouted at.

KatoPotato · 23/05/2014 12:31

I think it should be called 'The End of Level Baddies'

RowanMumsnet How far down tech's list might this be?
The Hayday thread is nearly full, and is in chat so will disappear along with lots of useful cheats tips.

JonSnow, did you ever play Ragnarok aka Valhalla? Iused to love that game. The developers put the code up on tinterwebs eventually, and despite being a DOS game it used to work in early Windows; not sure it would now though.

Jux · 23/05/2014 18:04

Rowan, could you move the Hay Day thread to somewhere safer until the games topic is set up (if it is?). If you do we shall ply you with gin.....

JonSnowKnowsNothing · 23/05/2014 18:27

No I didn't Jux I'm going to look it up now! Love those old DOS games. And yes, loads of them worked on Windows 95 but won't even start up on later versions.
I was fairly obsessed by games like Gabriel Knight, Phantasmagoria, Myst, all that lot. I still have the Myst games installed on my work laptop so I can play when bored at school let my class work through them as a treat at the end of term!

yourlittlesecret · 23/05/2014 18:51

I remember playing a hobbit game on a Comodore 64 c1995

HayDayQueen · 23/05/2014 18:52

Jus - I could compile the advice into one initial thread and start a new one just for Hay Day when the new gaming topic starts up.

HayDayQueen · 23/05/2014 18:52

JUX, JUX, JUX! (Not Jus! Sorry!!!!)

Jux · 23/05/2014 19:34

WinkGrin it's an easy thing to do, Queen.

JonSnow, Myst was already dying by the time I got off the Macs and got a non-DOS pc. A friend had Valhalla and we used to spend hours on her m/c coming out with things like "My eyes are bleeding" "shit, I'm lycanthropic!" Grin. Sigh, oh how I miss it.
