Button to specify whether reporting a post or a whole thread.

What does anyone think?

Would it be possible, or even useful, to have a button on the report screen to specify whether we are reporting a whole thread or just an individual post?

Just an idea.

P'raps those of us with our antennae out should be on the pay roll

See that's exactly the kind of situation I the it could be handy for.

If several people reported the same whole thread it could maybe flag it to HQ more quickly.

At the moment we could all be reporting different individual posts so each one could only have been reported once or twice. If we could all report the thread as a whole it could set the klaxons off quiker.

In all fairness the self moderated site is no more

I was troll hunted for over 900 posts and I had it all, name changes (not me), calls of cunt the lot. I left in flouncy fashion but lurked for a while and realised it was my own fault as my posting style was goady troll fucker. They even had a TAAT about me.

But those worthy of MN come back and defend it with all they can.

It is not an exclusive club but an inclusive club (you just gotta know how to play). Sometimes here is the only place I can be myself and people still talk to me.

Meh was my own fault. I didn't respect the site enough to spend anytime understanding it. I came on all guns blazing expecting to be accepted and was miffed that I wasn't. Silly naïve me.

I have since enjoyed my time here but only because I took the time to lurk and not be so entitled in the fact that 'I am a newbie you must love me'. Harsh lesson to learn but isn't that what life is?

Only thing I am miffed about is that they deleted my thread 'cos frankly it had turned in to a bun fight'.

We read all reports and you can say whatever you like in the report message, the more the better.

But if everyone would like this option, we can ask Tech. It won't make a huge difference to the way we look at the reports tbh, but we are happy to ask the question?
