Is advanced search broken?

BertieBotts · 19/04/2014 22:58

I keep getting 0 results when I search for a word in a title and add a date range, even for threads that I know exist.

The first couple of times I thought maybe I was mistaken and the thread was in chat or had been deleted but it's happened three times now and I'm starting to think it's a bug.

Anyone else?

Yep, I've had this today. Definitely not working. At first, I thought it was because I was AS someone dodgy - but searched someone else today and AS only brought up one of their posts

MaRyzerection · 21/04/2014 01:32

For the last few weeks I have got 0 results when I search for thread titles only - even if I search my own name, and I know I've started threads.

It's definitely not working right.

me too

Unless you have threads with your name in the title, the result will be zero won't it?

BertieBotts · 21/04/2014 12:30

No there's a separate bit for the poster name.

No, I'm searching for threads by me, so I put my name in the "posted by" box, and then I choose "search thread titles only".

That used to bring up a list of threads started by me. Now it brings zero, no matter whose name you use.

OwlCapone · 21/04/2014 14:41

Oh, right. That's not how I thought the "search thread titles" worked. I assumed it only looked for your search phrase in the thread title rather than in a post.

Hi, This should be fixed now. Sorry about that.

Sparklingbrook · 22/04/2014 15:14

Is it broken again? I am getting nothing at the moment.

Sparklingbrook · 22/04/2014 15:22

An error occurred performing the search.

Except this^

SilverShins · 22/04/2014 15:23

Sparklingbrook · 22/04/2014 15:25

SilverShins · 22/04/2014 15:30

I wasn't getting anything at all now I've joined Sparkling with the error message. Progress? Wink

PrinceRogersNelson · 22/04/2014 16:14

Broken for me too

AmyMumsnet · 22/04/2014 17:08

Hi everyone,

Tech have had another look and it looks like there's a bit of a problem with the search function and it's going to take a couple of days to fix.

Apols for the inconvenience! We'll be plying them with brownies to help speed them along.
