why cant i add photos fromy phone?

I have been trying to add photos from my phone but it says file type not Allowed? It is an android phone, do you know why? Or what I need to do?

They are jpegs? I can email the pics to my work computer and attach them fine that way, but not from my phone?

This is going to demonstrate my huge lack of knowledge regarding photo files, but might it be that the file type is converted when you email them?

Could you tell us which version of Android you're using?

I have an HTC one S phone? Is that any use?
