You might remember that Olympic gold-medallist Jessica Ennis-Hill came in to the Towers recently for a webchat. In case you didn't know, she's six month's pregnant with her first child (congratulations Jess!), so while she was here, we quizzed her on her top tips for staying fit during pregnancy.

Have a squizz at this video to see Jessica demo some bump-friendly exercises to help you stay fit and active: some easy-peasy pelvic tilts and a living room leg work-out. She also shares some advice on what to avoid, and which exercise classes are best suited to a blossoming pregnancy tummy.

If you've got any tips to share on keeping active while pregnant, please do!

Reading from my phone I can't see a video. Can you add a link?

Thanks.

Hello - this is the link

Oh that was quite good, I was expecting something rather higher impact than that from Jessica Grin

Just a point though, if I'd have got into that back against wall squat while I was heavily pregnant I wouldn't have been able to get up, someone would have had to eventually peel me off the wall.

I was lucky enough to be very fit pre-pregnancy and work out until 8+ months pregnant. It didn't help my eventual c-section recoveries easy (that's a sofa and PJ job), but I bounced back by month 5.

My gym instructor was very good and drummed it into me that during pregnancy it was all about gentle maintenance, not aiming for PB's and heavier weights.
