I think they are a good method of advertiseing and certainly get the advertisement seen by lots of people.

weather or not people ignore the advertisement is another matter.

The ones at the side you mean? They're horrible - too distracting. I recall MN doing the same last year and the otherwhelming feedback was negative so they stopped them

Please get rid of them. I absolutely hate them. Way too distracting and most of the time not relevant.

What's going on with the Haven ad? Clicking on active threads etc. on the hover bar is freezing the screen and opening a Haven pop up.

Sorry about the Haven reskin ad appearing all over..This has now been fixed.

Argh, this is so annoying. Every time I click on the hovering 'I'm On' it opens a new window to bloody Haven ad. This is counter-productive to Haven as I'm annoyed with them now too *
