I hate the flashy-ness of them. They are v distracting.

TBH, I've taken to scrolling them out of view on threads.

The one that annoys me is the "cheese" one (for the ferry). It just looks like some sort of warning about cholesterol, panning across all that ripe cheese ... gah.

Isn't "stop whinging" a bit of a silly thing to say? We come here to whinge! If we had to stop whinging, what would we do instead?

This confirms me in my opinin that I am the most unobservant person on earth as I had not even noticed them until last night when I read a thread about someone who couldn't bear to look at the picture of the dog.

does anyone else find that they used to get loads of emails from friends reunited saying a new person had signed up and then if you looked on one had and now I don't get any emails from them at all..is it because i never paid just did the free subscription and now you have to pay do you?

As I said last night, I only notice the JoJo lady.

Oh, you can whinge about everything else but the ads are easy to stop and bring in money for Mumsnet.

haven?t noticed them either, scroll down the page too fast and don?t read the top bit. If the ads help mumsnet, then keep putting them in.
