how do you post links? am feeling a terrible failure

can someone please tell me - in very simple language - how to post links. am fed up trying and failing.

copy your address from the address bar

type

\link{

paste the address

type

\

then type here or whatever description you want

then type

}

description

or copy and paste the above from the box on the right, then replace the 'url' bit with the url (obviously..lol)

well there I was trying to help and c*cked it up..heehee

The description in the box, confused me for ages. Follow Zippi's directions - that's the way I do it now!
