editing facility

some other boards have an 'edit' facility so that you can edit your own posts. It would be a really useful thing to have here - just to be able to undo something said in the heat of the moment and instantly regretted.
I know you've got a lot on your plate at the moment - it's just an idea.

thats a good idea, i second that

It has been suggested before and the overall view seemed to be NO.

I for one prefer it without editing.

If someone regrets a posting made in the heat of the moment they can report themselves.

Being able to edit means things get said, replies made and then original postings edited - making a mockery of a conversation/debate.

Agree with SG.

geekgrrl · 09/08/2006 22:24

mmh, you do have a point about the debate. The other boards I'm thinking of don't have this kind of debate activity going on.

I've just reported myself for something else and feel all bad for adding to the deletion workload.

expatinscotland · 09/08/2006 23:25

NO.

I completely agree w/SG.

SaintGeorge · 09/08/2006 23:29

I agree with StG too.

Sorry, just shamelessly bumping 'cos I'm enjoying you all agreeing with me

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 09/08/2006 23:31

QoQ really wants to say she agrees too but knows that would mean saying she was actually agreeing with SG**
