SeaWorld and Discovery Cove? REALLY?

Dear MNHQ, I think the world of you and this site, but I'm actually horrified that I've just seen an advert from the above companies on the front page.

The news is FULL at the moment of the horrors of the drive hunts at Taiji, Japan and the captive dolphin industry. The film Blackfish has also opened the eyes of the public to the awfulness of life in captivity for killer whales. You must have seen this. Two killer whales have recently been captured from the wild to entertain tourists and competitors at the Sochi Winter Olympics, to worldwide condemnation.

Please please please reconsider having these adverts. It looks like you condone these places.

Having penned that rant, I now can't see the ad, of course...

I hadn't noticed the ad but I agree with you, bloody poor show. I have no respect for those who support such an industry. Please reconsider MNHQ.

The thing to remember during discussions is that these companies are absolutely unethical, no matter how much they try and tell you otherwise. Former employees will back this up.

I completely agree with the OP and just wanted to add my vote here. Please reconsider supporting these organizations.
