Something isn't working.

I just fell foul of that too, is it new?

MmeLindor · 30/01/2014 18:21

It is the Twitterisation of MN.

We will have hashtags next. #markmywords

I just tried a title of only 40 characters and that didn't work either!

MmeLindor · 30/01/2014 19:58

Are they getting fed up of our novels in the titles?

45 characters isn't that long though, must be a glitch surely, as there is a title on chat atm that is about 4 lines long, excessive maybe, and what technical problems would it cause.

AwfulMaureen · 30/01/2014 21:40

Just happened to me too! I hate it! I do hope it's not deliberate. I feel MN looong titles is part of the humour...it contributes to the particular brand of funny that IS Mumsnet.

I bet it's something to do with Google...I BET they want the titles to be more googleable.

Good title for Google = "Why won't my husband have sex with me?"

Not good for Google = "My twunty DH won't shag me any more, should I LTB?"

MmeLindor · 30/01/2014 21:45

I am guessing it is a glitch. 45 characters isn't long enough for most titles.

Morning

Didn't know about this one - don't think it's deliberate, but will check. Is it still happening?

RowanMumsnet · 31/01/2014 09:59

OK you're quite right, tis a bug. ShamTech is on it and we hope to have it fixed soon. Thanks for flagging
