To enable you to search within a post's text for something eg you search by username, find they've written somewhere on a thread with 500 posts...

Oh and to highlight the OP's posts...that would be so useful

Yes highlighting OPs posts would be really good

And being able to hide the sponsored bits at the top.

We're sorry about the app - we know it's a bit rubbish. We've got a plan for improvements, but in the meantime do please have a go at using the mobile site instead - it's got more functionality than the app and works better, we think.
