Moderation overnight and at weekends

Are we back with the problem of their being insufficient people on duty? There's a thread about the 3 year old in Edinburgh where a number of seriously unlawful comments have been posted overnight, and they've been left there for hours. Some seem to have been left up long after they've been reported. This is seriously prejudicing the right to a fair trial of the person who has been charged, and is in contempt of court. What on earth is going on?

Good question Nenny. Can't quite believe what I have seen on that thread this AM

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 19/01/2014 11:31

I have reported several posts recently and either get no reponse or wait hours or even days for a response . Thid is not always at weekends or at night.
There really is a problem with getting a reponse or MNHQ are ignoring me maybe .

Yep, i've just written a very similar post on a different thread!

Could Tech implement a solution where if a thread gets more than a certain number of reports overnight (or in a short period of time) it automatically gets hidden from view until it can be checked out by a real person?

ReticulatingSplines · 19/01/2014 14:30

I reported something in the early hours of Friday and still haven't had a response. On another forum this would be normal enough, but usually MNHQ check reports out fairly quickly.

Moderation does seem really slow at the moment. Questions in site stuff seem to be taking longer to be answered as well. Especially at the weekends.

If they knew there was going to be no/little moderation last night that thread should have been deleted or locked last night. It was only ever going to go one way.
