Report spam vs report other

Just a quick q. If spam is reported do MN bother to read the message, or just zap the post?

I ask because spam is sometimes a bit more subtle than just posting a link, may be repeated on other threads etc.

EG Someone bumping multiple threads with similar topics with a reply which just happens to promote a particular product.

Should that be reported in spam with additional info, or as other?

I usually report that with spam, then explain why I think it is in the box. Most of it does get deleted.

I would have thought that MNHQ do an AS on the poster's NN to check they're not spamming multiple threads. But what Rafa said, you have the option to give more detail in the box if you want to.

Sounds as though a spam report would be fine in that instance, OP; spamming of multiple threads is usually picked up by other checks.
