Active convos on app

Is just repeating one thread for me over and over, a mumsnet local Durham one about borrowing a bouncy chair. No offence to the op but it's not even the most riveting of threads can you fix active convos so it shows more than one thread please?

Have you tried logging out and back in? That usually fixes Active.

Ok it seems to have stopped now.

But, while I'm here, is the app going to be replaced ever? It's been over a year I'm sure that people have been complaining about it. I think last time I had a moan the advice was to use the mobile site instead.

Does this advice still apply and does it mean I should give up hoping the app will get better? The old app was better imo, the smilies looked the same as on the site and active convos didn't refresh until you asked it to, meaning no annoying thread repeating. Could we get something like that back please?

I do like using the app because, in spite if all its faults, it does seem to be a bit quicker than the mobile site on my phone.

Recently when I click on TIO sometimes nothing loads, or I click on a thread and it doesn't load and just says 'nil replies' at the top. This only happens on the iPhone app, I haven't noticed it on the iPad.

I agree that the app is well overdue an update, what's going on?

Oh I get that all the time, esp the nil replies.

Or the sad face where the tio should be.

Or the thread flipping itself when I have to refresh it because it says 'failed, tap to try again'

You need to refresh, otherwise you'll only see the same havplf dozen or so conversations over and over. I don't get the problem on the phone just the iPad.

I'm on Android app. We get plenty of problems, but it does seem to be smoother than iPhone (etc) app.

Sorry folks, we know the app can be a bit glitchy, can we recommend our lovely mobile site?

So the answer to my q up thread is 'yes, you should give up hoping the app will get better'???

Sorry. We do have a plan, but it's a medium-to-long-term one. We let people know about the mobile site because lots of users prefer it to the app.

But we cant use the mobile site properly anymore since you have changed it to pages. It takes forever to load. The app has 6 months of stickies on the active convos page.
