Am I just being dim and can't find it? If not, would it be possible to create one? Thanks in advance.

Bumping this for you surgicalwidow as nobody from MNHQ appears to have responded to you (Hmm MNHQ)

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We're going to have a look at this and get back to you. Smile

Thank you for bumping this, Nymodig. Thanks

Sorry about the rather PA Hmm, Julie Blush. But the OP originally posted in Chat and I suggested she came over to Site Stuff with her request!

Hullo all,

Thanks for raising this. Getting a Republic of Ireland page (along with lots of other sites) is very much on our to do list. Technically we can't do it yet as ROI doesn't use postcodes - slightly odd we know.

Sorry we can't give you a firm date, but it's deffo on the way Smile

bubbleschimp · 06/01/2014 14:03

just like to point out it's not odd that the ROI doesn't use postcodes. The postal system in place works perfectly well for the size of the country.

I find is slightly offensive that MNHQ seems to be implying that it's odd

WillieWaggledagger · 06/01/2014 14:06

i read that differently, as in it's not odd that the ROI doesn't use postcodes, rather that it's odd that the tech side will currently only work with postcodes IYSWIM

NymodigFruOla · 06/01/2014 17:24

bubbles, I suspect that MNHQ uses an 'off-site UK postcode matching database' (for want of a better expression - and I'm not a 'techy') which, although including England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, doesn't encompass the Republic of Ireland.

I doubt that KateSMN meant that the ROI has 'odd' postcodes, I suspect she means that their 'off-site postcode matching database' doesn't recognise ROI postcodes.
