Raising this quote from MN separately as it looks like the thread where it originally appeared is about to disappear, and it raises a separate issue which is not specific to that topic.

Clearly MN does allow such threads, AIBU is full of them. There were also various threads on site stuff and elsewhere during the AnyFucker kerfuffle which included specific fault-picking in relation to her.

If Julie MN meant to refer to threads that pick faults in other posters in their real names, that seems to me quite baffling. If an individual who comes on here chooses to use their own name, surely that is a risk they take. If they choose to misbehave over a lengthy period such that other posters feel threatened and their posts get deleted, why should the individuals concerned be unable to raise the issue publicly?
