'Flip' not working properly on desktop, and another app issue

Right, I'll try and explain and hope this makes sense! I've only noticed it on the desktop site, the mobile site is working normally. I've got my settings so that the most recent replies are at the top. If I'm reading a thread for the first time I 'flip' it to get the op at the top. Now until yesterday this worked fine, but I've noticed that now if the thread is longer than a page and I flip it, the first page is fine but then when I click 'next' the following pages come up in reverse order with the most recent reply on that page at the top not the bottom. Does that make sense?

I'm also having trouble with a particular thread on the iphone app - when I click on it the whole thing crashes, every single time. This has happened before.

Thanks

Hi AP, which thread is crashing the iphone app? Can you remember?

I think the "flip" only applies to the current page, so when you go to the next page your normal preference comes back into effect. We should maybe look at that as it's not very helpful to have the order change halfway through reading.

It was the Neighbours thread on Telly
Addicts Blush, it's ok again now though Confused. It happens occasionally with that thread (maybe my phone is telling me something Wink) and there have been others that I'm not on so I can't remember.

Flip always used to flip the whole thread - this is a new thing. Like I said on the mobile site it's as it's always been, the whole thread flips and the order makes sense.

Thanks for looking into it Thanks
