This kept happening to me too--husband says it is a problem with the mumsnet site, see here

Colette Tech just posted on one of the other threads about this and they are working to fix it.

Perhaps look further in Site Stuff before starting another thread?

No, but I have a newborn baby and tend to post on the feeding forum, which is actually very supportive and rarely do other posters feel the need to police it.
