2 Questions. One about Unanswered messages, and one about Guestblogs

Unanswered messages. Maybe I missed this somewhere, but why do the Unanswered messages only go back about 3 hours. The board used to be back about 2 days? Maybe 2 days was a bit long, but 3 hours seems far too short imo. Perhpas 1 day would be better?

Guestblogs. A couple of questions from me, but there was a thread about them recently too, but I think that it was in chat.
Do the Guestbloggers know they have been chosen to be put on mumsnet. And are they told, so that they have a choice about whether to respond to any questions asked?

Hi, Golddigger, we'll have a look at that. I think it's unintentional. It's supposed to go back 24 hours.

Golddigger · 13/12/2013 19:18

Oh ok. I assumed it was happening to everyone.

Hello Golddigger and apols for the delay in getting back to you about our guest bloggers.

The answer is yes, they do always know that they've been chosen to be on Mumsnet - we either approach them directly about writing us a guest blog on a subject about which we think they'll have interesting things to say, or they approach us with ideas.

We do try to let people know that they're very welcome to engage with MNers on the thread below the post - though sometimes we're a bit remiss . We'll make an effort to do so consistently from now on - although it's worth bearing in mind that it's not everyone's cup of tea, and sometimes folks are a bit busy. We'll give them a gentle nudge though!

ooh good.
There was a very interesting blog about a month ago, about the wearing or not of the niqab.
And an interesting discussion and questions ensued.
But the blogger didnt reply. And a few of us were disappointed.
Any chance that she might in the future, or when she has time?
