Ever wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee and ask if you are being unreasonable at the same time? Ever found yourself reaching for a tea towel and simultaneously wishing to convey Hmm feelings to those around you?

Well now with the new Mumsnet merchandise, all this is possible!

Off the back of your brilliant suggestions on this thread - we've created a range of delightful items, which you can buy here. There's everything from a A ODFOD t-shirt to a official Mumsnet sticker - something for all the family Wink

Hi all,

We are looking at a cheaper T shirt blank, however it only comes in at a couple of £ less than the naice organic shirt. Most of the cost is in picking and packing and printing, and we're still quite a lot cheaper than shirts on somewhere like cafe press.

ETA - as is the case for mugs. I know that £9.99 is more than you could pay for a mug, but it is as cheap as we can make it given the processes involved, and mass producing the stuff really isn't an option for us.

Keep the ideas coming though - still looking for new ones.

Best,

Stuart

southerncomfort - yes, apologies. Haven't had a chance to go back through the original thread just yet, but I will.

Hi YoDiggity

We'll do AIBU in white for you. Not sure how that happened if I'm honest - almost all the others are available in white.

All the shirts are available in ladies cut as well, it's just that at present the images default to men's cut. That's being fixed, but in the meantime here's the shirt in a more flattering cut.

DH shirt is coming soon.

Yes, the shirt image thing is annoying, but fixed and going live very soon, I'm assured. We're also switching around the order of the page on the sizing page, so that it has women's sizes at the top and blokes at the bottom.

It's only because the firm we're using do a lot of bloke stuff, and we've picked up their standard template for a lot of this stuff.

StuartMumsnet · 10/12/2013 13:28

Yes, the irony is not lost on me either...

StuartMumsnet · 10/12/2013 13:52

Katie Hopkins has just tweeted a link to the store to her followers, describing us as a "mob" and "tribal." How very dare she.

I think the only way we can possibly retaliate is by buying and sporting our colours with pride, right?*

*The sharper amongst you might spot my shameless attempt to turn this into a promotional opportunity. Grin

Hello all, just to comment on a few of the posts so far.

On T Shirts, yes it is just about conceivably possible to print a shirt for £4.50. However the quality of the shirt at that price will be woeful, like the aforementioned limp dishrag, and it might well not have ethical roots. Ours are very good quality ethically sourced shirts, well printed and well packaged. I've seen the breakdown of the costs on these and nobody is getting rich. It is just the economics of doing good quality clothing across a range of designs.

However you absolutely can send the shirt back if it doesn't fit or if you don't like it. We swallow the cost of that, and they'll simply replace it for you, with no questions asked.

On the mugs, these aren't bone china mugs. Again, keeping a broad range of mug designs doesn't make that workable at £6-£7 RRP.

However what we might look at doing, if there's sufficient demand, is a small run of one design which we produce in bulk and keep ready. That might bring the price down to £6-£7. We might also look at whether we could do the same thing with a naicer mug, which would come in at £9.99.

StuartMumsnet · 17/12/2013 18:18

The shirts aren't fruit of the loom type. Much thicker than that.

Really, the economics of this by the time you've printed each one, packed it and got it to you one piece don't make print on demand possible for less.

In the new year we're going to look at carrying a core range, based on what's ordered so far, which we can print up front and therefore offer for less. The less popular designs (and new designs) will be available via print on demand.

If anyone is unhappy with the quality of the mug then return it and you will get a full refund. Clothing can be exchanged if you've bought the wrong size or refunded if you're unhappy for any other reason.

We had a batch of mugs delivered to the office today and they look great. The slogan is printed under the glaze (IYKWIM) rather than on top of it in the way that promotional items are, and whilst they aren't the bone china mugs some will want, they've gone down really well here.

We can do an ODFOD tea towel. They're a bit swamped trying to get all the Christmas orders out at present but we're going to look at a load of stuff (including tote bags) in the New Year.

StuartMumsnet · 19/12/2013 07:14

That's not good. Not good enough at all.

I'm going to drop you a PM and we'll send you a replacement out, and you can do whatever you want with the original, there's no need to send it back.

Apologies - we'll get this sorted for you.

Morning everyone. Thought you'd like this pic of two of our office mugs being pressed into service the morning after the MNHQ Christmas party.

The one on the right is an early printing sample which has a little bit of the blue ink leak which MmeCinqAnneauxDor has on hers, but all the others are rather lovely.

Smack administered. It is a tiny proportion of overall orders, but not good enough either way.

A replacement is on the way to you.
