I'm really not appreciating all the moving adverts, particularly Flabby Arse and Wobbly Stomach.

I don't want to see moving adverts for flabby arses and wobbling stomachs whilst I'm eating my breakfast. Or at any other time.

Isn't it rather against the ethos of MN to allow adverts for that sort of thing? And the video ones, with sound, they give me the rage too.

Get rid please.

Hi Stratters,

Shock Where did you see them please and can you remember what they were for?

The ads are delivered to us and we try our best to block anything of that nature before it comes through but occasionally some sneak in.

As soon as they are brought to our attention we can get rid - do you have any more info?

StrattersInTheTARDIS · 25/11/2013 12:46

They are in the square advert box on the right. Saw them last night, and again this morning, I use Chrome if that helps.

I'm jealous, why haven't I got fancy pants adds?

StrattersInTheTARDIS · 25/11/2013 17:34

I think it's because I posted on the thread about dodgy body parts/excess hair/other unwanted shit one's body likes to torture us with. And now MN is trying to 'help' me :(

All of the adverts seem to be moving at the moment. It's really really annoying.

I actually turned my AD Blocker back on because there was a car one with headlights that kept flashing into my eyes!

StrattersInTheTARDIS · 25/11/2013 17:51

One kept singing to me the other day. I preferred it when the ads were wall to wall Boden. At least Boden are quiet, and don't try to give me hang ups :(

I posted on that one about my Mother Fucking Pilesâ„¢!

I must be dull as shit. I've got Autotrader and PayPal.

StrattersInTheTARDIS · 25/11/2013 19:36

I can't see how they can see piles, and make the leap to selling cars n stuff. How weird. Confused

I have nothing now. Thank goodness for Ad blockers and AVG

I spoke too soon. I have Sky tv. A vast improvement from flabby arses and wobbly stomachs.

I haven't had any of the fancy dancy ones people have been complaining about.

Why does no one interesting/offensive want to sell me their wears god damn it?!

funnyosity · 25/11/2013 21:54

It's all gone horrible!

Elliptic5 · 25/11/2013 22:14

I keep getting a moving Liz Earle ad that shrinks my iPad page to an unreadable size Angry!
Tried to post a thread on it but that wouldn't work either Hmm

Elliptic5 · 25/11/2013 22:21

Ok, now my active threads page is all adverts and NO THREADS AT ALL - very useful.

sanssoleil · 25/11/2013 22:48

I have had weirdery all day-I have put a lot of work into ad-blocking but MN has broken me today-all sorts of inappropriate shite that has nothing to do with my specified Ad preferences.Pretty shite and grabby tbh

sanssoleil · 25/11/2013 22:52

I had the all-crap-adverts-for-miles before truncated style thread that required a serious response. What is the Faustian pact MN?

StrattersInTheTARDIS · 25/11/2013 23:39

Flabby arse and wobbly stomach still around.

I really don't expect to see 'Hot tips on getting rid of belly fat' ads on MN, tbh. :(
