Yes, bloody videos playing all over my browser page, you've made MN completely unusable for me in my browser (safari)
There's no way to turn them off, unless I switch to a different browser with ad-blocker.

This is not what I want.

I only came to this section to post the exact same thing. I have no way of stopping these adverts either! And I ahouldn't have to either. I know you need revenue from ads, but any reputable site makes them unobtrusive. This is not far away from pop ups IMO.
Are they going to be a permanent fixture? I'd like to know as I'm seriously considering de-regging if so.

Can you not use adblock for Safari?

Is it being stupidly slow? Thats what mines been doing this weekend.
I'm using Firefox, every time I click on a new page the top bar with My Mumsnet, etc, appears, and the discussions of the day box, the rest takes up to a minute to appear. Happening yesterday and today, not happening on any other sites so not my laptop.

Colette- they are totally screwing up my browser- making it unusable. Crashing safari all the time.
The ads are to the side, below the MN Talk DOTD/Most Active box thingy.
The one on the page currently is mojo . com?

No noise for me- macbook always on mute.

I also have a foreign vista print one (since yesterday, seen again today). The main problem I'm having is the 'hang time' whilst the site thinks about loading - sometimes the add comes up and the active talk list doesn't for ages - if you refresh, the talk list comes up and disappears. I am sometimes refreshing 4 or 5 times until I seem to get a combination of adds that doesn't make the site hang. Trying to get through to 'threads I'm on' is also even more difficult.

Still getting foreign vista print ad. and still finding the site 'hanging' a lot waiting for some of the ads to load - can't tell you which as I give up and refresh...
