HELP. Random pages opening from MN.

Hi techie people. MN has playing up for the past several days. I thought it would go away but it isnt. Every time I click on 'next page' or 'post' or 'threads I'm on', weird pages start opening. There's also words double underlined that can click through (I don't) - random words in thread titles or threads. I am using google chrome. Mostly these pages are blocked by McAfee, sometimes they pop up, but I usually shut them before they have opened. It's getting really annoying! I'm not sure how to stop it.

Hi MerryMarigold, we've not had anyone else report this but I have asked for you and apparently it has happened before to another person and it was resolved by clearing the cache and checking for viruses.

Fingers crossed that works for you too, it does sound really annoying!

Do a system restore to before it started happening. It's an infection on your machine. That seemed to do it for me when I encountered it on another forum.

Thanks. If I do a system restore will it lose any documents I have saved since it started? I shouldn't have a virus because I do have anti virus which is blocking most of the stuff which pops up. It is still happening, although less annoying as I think I'm getting used to it. Must sort it out though. Thanks for the help.
