I imagine this has been requested a zillion times, but please could you consider a Like button for posts?

It's not like we couldn't predict the posters who'd end up with the likes is it.
I think some people would feel even more ignored than they do if we had that facility.

Only if we get a "you are a twat" button too

lemonmuffin · 11/11/2013 19:10

Yes please, i would love a like button

Tee2072 · 11/11/2013 19:30

I like Mist's idea.

I'm against all things facebook, but I find the like/dislike button useful on newspaper comments pages as it's like a quick survey of current opinion.

Perhaps there are downsides to it on here, but personally I've never been terribly upset if someone (or lots of someones) disliked my post.

After all without a like button people still post to say they don't like what I said. If I couldn't bear that I wouldn't be posting.

it shouldn't be called Like anyway. It should be Agree/Disagree.

We have been considering the pros and cons of a like button for many a year now, but the vote still remains in the No camp, for various reasons- apologies to those who are desperate for it.

Mary's post

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 14/11/2013 23:01

Thank God Kate for that!

It is a chat site - if you don't want to 'chat' then lurk... 'like' is pointless, annoying & unnecessary.

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 14/11/2013 23:02

If we get votes mine is for the you are a twat button.
