Search all messages

Is it only me who can't get that facility to work? If I want to search a word, eg (don't ask) David Hasselhoff, how much of the page do I have to fill in? Can I just write the word(s) and leave it at that or do I have to know poster's names, dates etc.

I am asking because I haven't been able to do a search using search all messages for months, if not years, if not ever.

it's just you DG
well I can do it anyway

So search David Hasselhoff for me and find the thread with that link to his dreadful video please! I think Eidsvold posted it.

is this it?

DumbledoresGirl · 07/07/2006 22:12

Yes thanks it is.

But how on earth do you find it using the search facility? It just doesn't work for me!

And it was Lou so I have even less idea how you found it.

oooh just bumped it for you but too late....

MerlinsBeard · 07/07/2006 22:15

i typed david hasselhoff in the box that says search boy of message (or something like that - the top one) and clicked search

MerlinsBeard · 07/07/2006 22:16

top box actually say "Find messages that contain these words in the message"

DumbledoresGirl · 07/07/2006 22:19

That is what I did and I consistently get 0 messages found.
