Tech- I have to log in every time i visit..... how do i get it to remember me?

I tick the box saying remember me but it still makes me log in every time i come onto mumsnet.

Any ideas why or how can i fix it?

MN only does this to people they don't want posting.

misspiggy- it's only stared happening yesterday and today. I've done nothing to my pc and it's fine on other sites

Your DH has done it to stop you posting.

Cookies are your most likely culprit. Of course, you don't have to log in at all. Once you post it logs you in.

lol about dh soupy. don't think it is cookies as i've just cleared them and its still the same. it's done this on 2 pc's that i have and only with MN

It's whether your PC allows mumsnet.com to set the cookie to remember you.

I never log in at all though, just post. Does it matter??

How can it be cookie-related when it only does it to me sometimes (but before the 30 days it remembers you for?)?

Is it because you have two pc's?

I use our laptop, dh's work computer (he works from home) and my computer at work and so MN never remembers me (as it were - cue violins?)

I think it might be server problems again. I keep getting blank pages and the server errors that were happening last week.

I've just opened the page now and its fine. I'm still logged in from last time...

I don't think its because I use 2 computers as it's always worked before. Also other sites are fine with doing this
