Is anyone else having trouble getting a thread they want deleted deleted.

Just that really Has anyone else had the same problem or have the MN user rules changed or something.

It's up to MNHQ whether or not a thread gets deleted, you can't just click a delete button.

Threads don't tend to get deleted without very good reason and even then it takes as long as it takes. Hq are busy and the advice is if you don't want it on the Internet don't put it on the Internet (or words to that effect)

If it helps hq agreed to delete threads of mine approximately 10 years ago that are still there. I have learnt a lesson from that Smile

Just for clarity: we don't tend to delete people's threads unless we can see there's a good reason (such as there being info on the thread that would 'out' someone in RL).

It's a good idea, before posting, to always bear in mind that everything you post on Mumsnet is freely available to anyone with an internet connection!
