Mumsnet keeps making my browser unresponsive-help!

I've had to download the app to do this, but today the whole site makes my phone unresponsive and on the rare occasions I make it in to Talk, none of the icons work. I'm on an Android browser btw.

Make it work, pleeeease, RL is not as exciting.

Mine seems to be doing the same. I'm on Android too. It's very annoying.

RebeccaMumsnet · 03/10/2013 09:51

Sorry about this all, we have reported the issue to Tech.
Which browser does your android phone use?

Is anyone else having problems?

CatAmongThePigeons · 03/10/2013 10:29

Thanks Rebecca! I'm using the pre installed browser on it, no idea what its called, but it seems to be okay at the moment but it will intermittently crash and hang. Which is not sporting. Sad

I've no idea what browser it is either. I'm on a Samsung Mini if that helps?

RubberBullets · 03/10/2013 10:59

You can install Firefox on android, it is far better than the standard one that comes with it.

Ineedmorepatience · 03/10/2013 16:35

my samsung isnt working on mumsnet either :-(

BringOn2014 · 04/10/2013 00:10

Im so glad this is not just me! I have a samsung s3mini and the mobile site is completely unresponsive for me. Its definitely not the phone as all other websites are fine. Im also using the standard internet browser that was already on the phone.

RowanMumsnet · 04/10/2013 09:59

Hmm - my Samsung Chromebook has been having a few problems as well

Is everyone who's having difficulty on a Samsung device?

CatAmongThePigeons · 04/10/2013 10:02

I'm on a Samsung S2 and it does seem that it's us Samsung users having problems. Sad

Me too! But I'm on a laptop- Google Chrome.

RowanMumsnet · 04/10/2013 10:04

Sorry about this stubbornstains

It is a Samsung laptop?

stubbornstains · 04/10/2013 10:21

It is...a Sony Vaio. So, bucking the trend there. I would have put it down to the eternal Rural Missing Broadband Issue, but it would seem other people are suffering too...

RowanMumsnet · 04/10/2013 10:35

Darn it... can you tell us what operating system you're using?

And (everyone) when a page is hanging, do you get a small box in the very lower left of your screen saying 'waiting for [...]')? If so, what does it say it's waiting for?

BringOn2014 · 04/10/2013 13:04

Hi Rowan, mine doesnt have a box saying its waiting for anything. I have the mumsnet talk page bookmarked so I click my bookmark, the page loads fine but then its unresponsive. I cant click on any of the links on the page, does that make sense?

WhereIsBethanyBear · 04/10/2013 13:14

I use a macbook with firefox and an ipad with safari, and both really struggle with the site.

RowanMumsnet · 04/10/2013 13:32

Sorry to hear this

Would be really helpful if you could tell us what the site is waiting for when it hangs (see our previous post)

WhereIsBethanyBear · 04/10/2013 13:37

Mine doesn't say waiting. It just doesn't load - website 5/10 times, app 9/10
